This policy explains what data SnapOut ("the app", "we") collects, why, and what rights you have. It applies to the SnapOut — Alarms & Missions mobile app, available on iOS.
This document is not a final legal opinion: it must be reviewed by a legal professional before publication, in particular the clauses on transfers outside the EU and legal basis.
This is a translation of our French-language privacy policy ("Politique de confidentialité"), which is the legally binding version governed by French law. In case of discrepancy between the two versions, the French version prevails.
The publisher of the app is MM Digital — referred to as "we" below.

On installation, SnapOut creates an anonymous account: your data (alarms, completed missions) is stored locally on your device and is not linked to any identity.
After your first successful mission, or right after a purchase, we offer you the option to sign in with Sign in with Apple (the only sign-in provider offered). This connection is optional up to that point, but required to sync your data across multiple devices or recover it after a reinstall. Sign in with Apple may hide your real email address behind an Apple relay address; in that case, we only ever receive that relay address.
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account identifier (anonymous, then relayed Apple ID) | Identification, multi-device sync | Performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b) | Local (device) + Supabase if signed in |
| Alarm settings (time, days, chosen mission, sound) | Alarm functionality | Performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b) | Local (device) + Supabase if signed in |
| History of completed missions (date, mission, success, validation method, duration) | Streak and XP calculation, measuring mission reliability | Performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b) | Local (device) + Supabase if signed in |
| Subscription status | Unlocking paid features | Performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b) | Apple (StoreKit) + RevenueCat, local cache |
| Product usage data (screens viewed, missions started, onboarding steps) | Understanding usage and improving the product | Consent (art. 6.1.a) or legitimate interest depending on configuration — see §7 | PostHog (EU) |
| Photo taken for a "photo" mission (see §4) | Mission validation | Performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b) | Processed once, not stored long-term |
| Camera feed for "movement" missions (push-ups, squats) | Counting repetitions | Performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b) | Never leaves your device (see §5) |
We do not collect your location, your contacts, or health data in the regulatory sense (physical missions are self-reported exercises, not medical monitoring).
Some missions ("Make your bed", "Photo of the sky", "Find an object") require a photo, automatically validated by AI (Claude Haiku, provided by Anthropic).
